Welcome to Edmonton Challenger Baseball Little League 2012.
We are thrilled to begin a new season!!
We look forward to seeing our veteran players as well as
welcoming our new rookies.
Challenger Baseball is the best game there is, it is playing
ball for the love of playing, it sees no difference in
challenges, and it includes EVERYONE.
We started out with a mere 10 players in 2007 and in 2008 we had
25 players, and growing.... We hope that many new players will join
a spirited team of athletes that play with passion, drive and
motivation. Prove to yourself that no matter what challenges you
have, you too can overcome and play the sport you’ll love. |

Challenger baseball is for boys and girls age 6
to 16, with a physical or developmental disability. We adapt the
game to your needs so that you, the athlete can thrive. Whether
using a wheelchair or walker, buddy system or just requiring a
little more encouragement, we can all play together. We are
strong believers in team commradery and respect, for others and
the game.
Challenger Baseball would not be possible if it was not for the
incredible volunteers. The coaches will teach you the skills you
need to play as long as you bring your enthusiasm to every game
(p.s. don’t forget your running shoes).
The program runs June through July 2010 (if rained out we extend
the season through the summer). We play every Sunday afternoon
at 1:30 p.m. at Confederation diamonds (111 street and White
Mud Drive.) Adjacent to Harry Ainlay High School.
The cost of the program is $50.00; it includes a hat, a team
picture and a t-shirt. Uniform tops are given out to wear but
are returned at the end of the season.
Pants are optional and maybe purchased at United Cycle at a
special price.

Questions & Answers:
Where do I play?
All games are played at Confederation Park
adjacent to Harry Ainlay High
School located at the corner of 111 Street and Whitemud
Drive. Parking is available by the diamonds on 111 Street
or North of Harry Ainlay High School.
When do I play?
All games are played on Sunday between 1:30
pm and 3:30 pm. The opening day is Sunday May 27, 2012 at 3:00 pm
when players will meet their teammates and their coaches.
The first game is planned for Sunday June 2 ,
2012.
What about equipment?
Players will be provided with a coupon for a
pair of baseball pants redeemable at United Cycle and
Sports for a special price, a t-shirt and picture. Helmets, bats and uniform
tops are supplied by Confederation Park Little League.
Players only need a baseball glove.
Is it safe?
Our fields are well maintained and easily
accessible to wheelchairs. We also have a porta-potty that
is on the site. Our experienced coaches and
volunteer buddies do everything in their power to provide
the safest environment for all the players. However, like
all sports, there are some inherent risks of injuries. We
can proudly declare that we saw no injuries.
What about coaches?
Our coaches are all volunteers with many
years of coaching experience. They provide a safe
environment for children to learn the basics of baseball and
improve their skills. Above all they make sure the players
have fun.
How much does it cost?
$50.00. We accept cash or cheques
on Opening day.
